"I always try to fully educate patients about their particular conditions. It's important for me to listen to the patient's response and any questions he or she may have.
"I also attempt conservative treatments first, or inform the patient of conservative treatments before invasive (surgery or injection or medication) is used."
— Larry D. Scortt, D.P.M.
Dr. Larry Scortt has been practicing podiatry in the City of Fresno, California since 1980, with a well-diversified practice which covers generally all areas of podiatry — and we've expanded our practice to cover the Coalinga area in central California.
Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. Scortt is a member of the local chapter of the California Podiatric Medical Association, and served as its Chapter President from 1985 to 1987.
Both Dr. Scortt and his employees are bilingual, speaking Spanish as well as English.
Dr. Scortt has a policy of making house calls in the general Fresno area on a regular weekly basis in order to tend to bedridden patients and those who do not have the ability to leave their homes. His dedication as a doctor has also led him to serve outlying communities such as a clinic in Kerman and the United Health Team in San Joaquin, where he is able to tend to patients in areas without podiatric support.
Active in the community as a member of the local Fresno Chamber of Commerce and the Central California Better Business Bureau, Dr. Scortt has participated in numerous local activities and was a major sponsor of a national anti-drug program entitled "The Way to Happiness," which resulted in outstanding prevention of drug usage by elementary and high school age children.
Dr. Scortt is married to Pamela Scortt, who served for many years as Principal of a local elementary school. They have two teenage children and are long-time members of a local Christian Church.
